Brooches and Boob Jobs
In this episode of Beverly Hills Pawn, a couple brings in a special artifact thinking Yossi will lose his head. Later, Dominique and Yossi meet with SJ Mendelson, who is a fine broach collector, in order to dazzle her with a very unique broach they know must belong to her. Back at the store, Yossi is visited by his very reliable client, Elliot, who presents Yossi with an amazing one of a kind memorabilia from the famous classic, The Godfather. Finally, a woman approaches Cory and Dominique looking to pawn a very beautiful piece consisting of 4 tiles painted by David Arquette, Jon Bon Jovi, Sylvester Stallone, and David Duchovny to give her what she needs to “go big”.
11:30 AM
Stallone and Swarovski
There's a whole lot going on in the Dina Collection today. First, a man brings in the full Rocky attire that Sylvester Stallone wore in the movie (minus shoes of course…). He brought in the robe, gloves, and trunks that were worn by the great Sly, with the certificate to prove it even! Although, as obsessed with Rocky as Yossi is, this man only wants to pawn the set. Yossi chooses to give him a price for it, BUT the man doesn't like that… so, what does he do??… He gives Yossi the option to "fight" him for more pawn money. In the end, Yossi wins, but still gives the man $5,000 more than originally planned just for fighting him for it. Wow! Next, Yossi pays a nice visit to his good friend Gina, a collector of movie memorabilia. Gina shows Yossi and Cory a beautiful dress that she has from the movie A Place In The Sun, worn by the legendary Elizabeth Taylor herself and designed by the wonderful Edith Head. Gina even has the certificate of authenticity for the dress! After, the girls of the shop clean Yossi's office for him and come across amazing crystal-studded panties! The decide that they can't resist, so they keep them… hey, why not?! Finally, a (very kooky) woman comes in hoping to sell her husband's painting of Marilyn Monroe's lips so that she can finish all of her plastic surgery. Hmmmm. What it boils down to is that Yossi cannot buy something that high in price when no one even knows who the painter is!!! Plain and simple. At the ending portion of the episode, a man comes by and sees the Rocky gear and makes an offer to buy it that the owner cannot refuse! Oh, and Yossi asks about the panties that went missing in action, but the girls don't seem to have a clue where they went... If only Yossi had X-ray vision, then he may know.
12:00 PM
Cats and Cartier
In this episode of Beverly Hills Pawn, Cory and Yossi are presented with an authentic memorabilia from the original Batman Returns, but a dispute emerges over how much this artifact should be worth. Later, Yossi and Dominique go on a house visit to Diana Roque Ellis’s home with a gorgeous piece to help Yossi’s old friend rebuild her collection after a traumatic incident. Back at the store Cory is visited by a wacky lady attempting to sell a very interesting Austin Powers artifact that leaves Cory and Yossi shocked. Finally, Ed Begley Jr. comes in seeking a suitable birthday present for his wife.
12:30 PM
A Fistful Of Dollars
Exquisite treasures from Hollywood legends old and new make for a blockbuster day at Beverly Hills Pawn. Yossi drops big bucks on a costume jewelry piece that would be almost worthless – except that it was once wrapped around the famous figure of Marilyn Monroe. Yossi calls in an expert to verify that it’s the real deal, before paying more than most folks spend on their homes to buy the baubles. Later that day he has a chance of making a quick profit, by flattering a glamorous Beverly Hills socialite to pony up six figures, as a way of wowing her rich husband. Cory and Aria very carefully examine a flute made intimately infamous in ‘American Pie’ and deal with a renowned collector of movie memorabilia who makes high demands for the sunglasses worn by Tom Cruise in ‘Risky Business’. It’s also high noon out on the ranch, when Yossi and Cory visit a Hollywood collector who specializes in cowboy memorabilia, and take aim at a prized six shooter used by Val Kilmer in ‘Tombstone’.
1:00 PM
