Well that didn't take long, second day of October and I wake up to snow.:shocked22:

As luck would have it I have a few day's off so don't have to travel the 150 kilometer round trip to work.

Supposed to stop tommorow morning, Guess I'll be shoveling the driveway today.

The snow birds that live in my area have started shipping their cars via truck transport to their local addresses. Figure a week or two and they will also arrive. Looks like mother nature decided on an early winter. I don't miss that fluffy stuff at all, especially having to use the snow shovel.

Almost done for now after 16 inches, they said it was the most snow at this time since 1957, another storm coming for Tuesday and Wednesday. :nooo:

As long as the white stuff stays away from me, I am a happy camper. Back in 2000, we had some light snow near the lake about 17 miles away. Took the doggies there and they had a great time. It was a nice change of pace for this area.

As the cold season starts (in some places) it's time to tighten up all the hardware bolts, nuts and screws on the dishes guys.

The heat of the summer will expand the metal hardware, this can cause some bolts to stretch, the cold will cause other parts to contract, this can cause the dish to droop, or even move out of alignment in a strong wind.

But be careful Kids, if the bolt/nut looks rusted it could break or in some cases if the hardware is stainless steel gall up,(weld together internally to each other) this will cause severe hair loss as you try to tighten up the bolt/nut, it will be non removable, and would have to be cut off and replaced.

All stainless steel bolts and nuts should have been put together with an anti-galling compound at first, this helps remove or re-tighten the stainless steel hardware.
