Both of my computers broke. My work computer lost internet a few days ago after loading avast. It found some trojans that seem to be related to vbulletin. They seem to coincide with the redirects. I am not sure if avast detecting them and removing them cause them to damage my net settings. I got work computer fixed today but still no internet at home. I can only access site through my cell phone.

A good suite should popup a window and ask you what you want to do when it finds a problem. It should not automatically try to remove or delete the offending item unless you allow it.
On mine, when it found the offending item, which I posted various jpgs, it asked me what to do. In my case, I requested a delete and all future similar items to be blocked and not ask me again. So far, I haven't gotten any redirects in a long time.
In my case of the slow site as mentioned above, turned out to be my loading Firefox 25.0 and it didn't do a good job of updating itself. So, a restore was in order and then reloaded Firefox 25.0 and every thing is running fine for me.
