RS232 is old antique technology but it is still useful for many FTA receiver applications. Most computers that are in service today do not have a RS232 port and many of us use usb adapters.
Recently I purchased a 34 mm express card that works real well. The model number is SY-EXP15026, and it is made by Syba. This RS232 express card has worked very well and it is being used on a HP Vista laptop without any issues. This item is available at Ebay and at several other places on the internet. You may want to try one of these if you are looking for a RS232 or Serial Port solution. Drivers and an user manual can be found in the link. EB
