Here are the Remote Control instructions to recover your dead, bricked Openbox Z5. All credits from this goes to MARLIN60. Thansk for sharing MARLIN60
With the unit On, Press 9898 on your Remote Control. Screen will go black. Press "Menu" on Remote Control, and "Main Menu" will appear on screen. Then you can go wherever you want, from there. If you don't download newest firmware, you will have to go through those five clicks, every time you turn off receiver, and turn it back on. Download latest On-Line firmware if available, and when it finished, it will put receiver back in normal mode.
