Better to me than my own mom.

My wife's mother passed away peacefully this morning, she was 84 years old. She had a stroke about 3 years ago and had been in a nursing home since that time. My wife is an RN and works in the facility her mom was in. She was a very special lady and my mother-in-law for 39 of my 54 years. In the years before I became a preacher, I was a heavy drinker and had several wreaks I should have died in. She would always tell me God kept me alive because He had a greater plan and purpose for me than being a drunk.
Most mother-in-laws get a bad rap but I had nothing but love and respect for this dear lady who was better to me than my own mom. Please remember our family in your prayer. God bless you!
