    Have you thought about using Enigma2 firmware for viewing movies?

    I second that! I mostly use the VLC plug-in with HDMU E2 for streaming files from my computer to the Raptor, since it plays just about everything with no problem. E2 also has provisions for streaming live TV over the network.

    thanks for the suggestion regarding E2.
    I've installed HDMU Holiday Edition from here: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
    Unfortuntately I'm having stability problems while watching TV (changing channels using DVB-C tuer). I had to restart the Raptor quite a few times.
    On the other hand, movie playback seems to be better than using the standard firmware. I'll keep trying with it...

    EB: I have a Toshiba internal HDD. I used to have the same playback problems regardless of the source: USB, internal HDD, network all the same.
