In the past couple of weeks I tried out many images. The box had Spark 1.2.73 on it when I got it and I went to 1.2.83 which work ok.
I then went on to explore and test out multiple Enigma2 images. Many didn't have proper video resolutions for my main TV or other little things that didn't quite work well off the bench. I love the complete flexibility of the expert settings which is a new world for me. I finally settled with a OpenPLI 5 Taapat image with the Metropolis skin. I like the GUI and look of that one.

There are my things that can be done with an enigma2 image. Lots of different plugins are available, and it is very easy to customize the python system files. The SH4 boxes are very limited in some areas. They cannot blindscan or accept usb tuners. They are slow devices overall, but these receivers are excellent for getting a taste of the enigma operating system.
