Rebooting can be caused by an antenna short or overload.
Motors do not normally draw much current, usually less than a lnb except for a brief moment at start-up.
Several times you have been asked about the firmware. You might want to post what firmware you are running.

Have you tried disconnecting the lnb and turning the motor?

I just caught a feed on 91w at 11952h 13231SR that makes the box constantly reboot. I am going to try a different firmware and take it from there.

I just loaded the 11-10-22 firmware and the problem is the same. Instantly reboots as soon as you try to drive a motor or if there is an HD feed with a lot of movement in the picture.

OK I will see how hot this piece on the board is getting. I haven't replaced it but it wont drive the motor to save its life. It would be nice to get this box going so I have a good spare.

I noticed the suspect part on the power supply is the same on my new one. When the receiver reboots the power resets for a second so I am assuming the power supply is resetting the box. I am going to attempt to track down the 4844 part and solder it into the power supply and go from there.
