I need to know what i am doing wrong i go to software management, backup system settings, a do a backup but when i get ready for it it is not there
i also went into advance setting to make sure my hard drive is sellected for backup

Have you checked the backup folder on your hard drive to see what is in it?

i did not make a backup folder i thought it would just show as backup i looked and do not see a way to make a backup folder?

The backup folder is made automatically when the settings are backed up to the hard drive. Check and see if this folder is on your hard drive.

Have you initialized the hard drive, or did you just plug it in without doing anything else?
How big of a hard drive do you have?

Might be easier for rodder to use Filezilla, log on to receiver and go to /media/hdd and see if there is anything there, specifically /backup folder. Then proceed with instructions from there.
