I just received my new C1w-Pll wideband c band lnbf and thought that a comparison with my present circular feed-esx241 should prove to be interesting. My 8' dish is basically circular c band dedicated and I will be testing only the circular sats for the moment:
11w-Express am 44
20w-Nss 7
22w-Ses 4
24.5w-Intelsat 905
27.5w-Intelsat 907
34.5w-Intelsat 903
40.5w-Ses 6
47.5w-Nss 806
53w-Intelsat 23
Unlike ku, c band is much more definitive as to db level or signal quality, there are usually very few variances. Folks from across the pond give the edge to the esx but others prefer the c1w. I will post my results after scanning those sats:

I am using my X2 Premium II receiver for this test so the readings will be in signal quality and we all know that the x2 is a miser when it comes to showing elevated quality. The results with my Esx 241 lnbf:

I will slap the C1w on my 8' dish tomorrow and see how it stacks up to these results.

I recently lost several circular tp on the Atlantic sats so I decided to install my esx 241 in place of the C1w and I scanned in 3 tp that I couldn't this morning. I think I'm finally seeing that these Pll lnbf's are not as good as previously promoted. Now if I could just get my hands on an esx 242 dual for my 10' bud, I had sent mine a couple of years back to BB.

I agree with you in regards to the pll hype. A couple of years ago I posted a test of ku pll vs non-pll lnbs using five small fixed ku dishes. I figured that the smaller ku dishes would be a good test due to the lower signal strength. So, I purchased five plls from a NA vendor and replaced the five existing non-plls. To make a long story short, I went back to the non-plls. I did spend considerable time tweaking the plls to make sure I hadn't misaligned them. But, in the end, the non-plls won out including some real oldies I had on the dishes. I even replaced a pll with another pll on the same dish just make sure the original pll wasn't a dud.
I also tried them on a motorized hot dish and again, reverted back to the non-pll. Oh, and I used a Sat Hero 200 meter (great meter by the way) at the dish to align.
Was a good learning experience.

I had plans to test a dual pll c band lnb against the dro lnb that I have been using. The dual pll lnb has been shown for sale for several months, but is always "Out of Stock".
Let us know when your lnb from Galaxy Marketing arrives..

The sales numbers for the Titanium C1-PLL C-Band PLL LNBF on Ebay are poor. They wanted close to $100.00 for this lnb with a conical scalar ring when it was first introduced. The price of this product has dropped drastically. (May the dual version of this lnb Rest In Peace.)
Information from commercial lnb manufacturers tell us that we do not need a pll lnb unless you are working with a transponder with a very low symbol rate(data) or low bandwith.
Dishnetwork and Direct TV would use pll lnbs if they gave even a slight advantage over a dro lnb. Money is not a problem in the commercial world..
