    Hi all.
Your headache is back. Please pardon my ignorance, need guidance to learn how it works.

The receiver is working great, on C and Ku. Happy.

The supplied antenna that fits in its USB port is for :
    - Receiving a WiFi signal (from a router? ) that turns into HDMI and gets displayed on my TV instead of receiving FTA, or,
    - Transmitting the LNB FTA channel being received by the X2 into a WiFi signal towards a TV equipped with built-in WiFi reception ?, or,
    - Both, or
    - Not for that.
Two H-to-H 92 inch Unimesh parked at 98W, for Galaxy 16 and 19 and at 58W for Intelsat 21 + C and Ku LNBF + two X2 premium mini + HDMIs to TV

It's for receiving/transmitting WIFI only, thus connecting the receiver to your WIFI router then to the internet, it cant send HDMI signals back to anything.

If it had Bluetooth then maybe it could connect to a Bluetooth device.

Or if the receiver was connected to some sort of streaming device.

Thanks. That is too vague for me.

Can you clarify ? Can that antenna transmit in WiFi the FTA signal tuned by the X2-mini towards a WiFi enabled TV ?
or, which of my four options above is valid ?

Well, it does not, so it is irrelevant to guess any 'maybes' about Bluetooth.

The X2 is not a receiver that is loaded with features and capabilities. It is a very basic receiver which allows you to receive DVB-S/S2 signals, and may allow IPTV channels to be received by using the usb wifi device.

    Thanks, bandido.
Yes, a humble receiver. But the question is if the USB to Wifi antenna adapter can transmit WiFi ?

I do not think you can have a Wifi that does not transmit and receive. Look in the link.

IPTV and maybe YouTube is all the X2 is capable of. The X2 cannot transmit the television signals, and the X2 is not bluetooth capable that I know of.

    Thank you.
So that X2 supplied USB to WiFi adapter antenna may be capable of receiving and transmiting, but the X2 receiver does not put the tuned signals onto the adapter, so it does not broadcast WiFi to other WiFi enabled televisions. Agree?

The X2 does not broadcast anything. It is a receiver, not a transceiver.

All the WIFI adapter does is connect the receiver to the internet via your WIFI enabled router and that's it, it (the receiver) can't communicate with any other WIFI enabled device but the router.

To get the program that the receiver is picking up from the satellite out to an HDTV you use the HDMI port via a cable connected directly to the HDTV.

To get that signal from the X2 to any other device you can use a slingbox (or other type device that will do the same thing) and the slingbox will transmit via a LAN connection or WIFI (if it has one) to any WIFI or LAN connected video device, the slingbox (or other device like it) can transmit the program from the X2 to your iPad, cell phone, or other device for viewing video programming, or an HDTV with built in WIFI or WIFI adapter attached to the viewing device.

For more on this type of setup Google the slingbox.
