TNAP 5.1 images are available now for supported receivers running TNAP 5. The TNAP 5.1 images are available under Flash image in the receiver menus and should be considered Test images as they are not 100% complete. The TNAP 5.1 images are considered to be stable, but may contain errors. TNAP 5.1 images will be posted in the download section of Legitfta once they are considered to be complete.

Several changes are in TNAP 5.1. Some of these changes may be noticed or not, depending on what you use the receiver for. An effort to improve the satellite scan performance has been made in enigma2 by adjusting timeout timers. IMO, some of the timers were set too long which in turn caused longer scan times due to waiting on the timeout timer.

Adjustments were made to the satellite blindscan plugin which allows signal in db to be seen before scanning a satellite. A motor start switch has also been added to keep the satellite dish motor from starting when you don't want it to. The satellite dish motor will still start automatically if needed once blindscan is started. Otherwise, you have to start the satellite motor. Either way, the satellite dish antenna needs to be aimed accurately at the satellite before blindscan starts!

A few adjustments were made to Positioner setup. Logs for Positioner setup now shows both lock and signal in db for a given position when running Auto focus. The Positioner setup is a good tool for satellite alignment, maintenance, and satellite dish antenna setup. Currently Positioner setup favors c band actuators, but efforts have been made to improve ku band as well.

TNAP 5.1 will also have miscellaneous updates from OpenPLi, and again, some of these updates may be noticed while others will not.

Overall, TNAP 5.1 will hopefully be seen as an improvement. Things like displaying signal below lock were added recently to TNAP 5 images and this feature is available to receivers or drivers that support it in TNAP 5.1. Detailed blindscan and satellite scan logs now show what the receiver saw for signal in db at the time when the transponder and or channels were logged.

Please report any problems, issues, or comments about TNAP 5.1 in this thread. Thanks to all that help and continue to support the TNAP images! EB
