Some transponders or channels will not play correctly on the premium plus model. An example would be the 4000H 29125 SR channels at 87 West. The AzBox Premium Plus receiver has difficulty locking this transponder, and has been reported to have issues on other transponders.

The new Sundtek USB DVB-S2 tuner does not have these transponder issues, and plays the 4000H 29125 transponder for me without any picture issues. The AzBox Premium Plus is a slow receiver by today's standards, and the channel change time using the Sundtek USB tuner is several seconds. Other than the slow channel change time, the Sundtek USB DVB-S2 device seems to work well on the Premium Plus receiver.

AzBox was one of the few receivers to offer us 4:2:2 capability. It is very doubtful that many fta receivers will have this feature in the future because the chip manufactures consider 4:2:2 format to be for professional receivers only. EB
