The extra tuners, comes in handy with a big family sharing the media center allowing more viewing possibilities and recording options in different rooms. In my case, the wife and I can't really remember what we recorded two weeks ago, let alone have the time to watch everything recorded. Still have stuff on the hard drive a year old which I haven't gotten around to watching. LOL.

I do not like it when features are advertised but do not work! This receiver does not transcode or blndscan at the present time. It will probably take 6 months before this receiver works like we would expect it to. Few if any of the current plugins work due to the ARM architecture of the receiver. Currently only two images are available, which are ViTi and Blackhole. Neither of these images work very well for North America.

Even the Euro crowd has started to notice this advertising practice. Not the first time a company advertises features, but instead delivers a beta receiver. The 500 Euro price tag isn't winning over too many people either.

We paid plenty for our Duo2 receivers. Vu has yet to fix the driver for blindscan, and has not fixed the driver for USB devices. Overall their product has been good, but I am very reluctant to spend any more money on their products if this is the best that they can do.
