$500 Euro was one estimate I have seen. The new tuner looks very impressive on paper. Looks like another Vu+ will be my next fta receiver.

For 500 Euros it better have a fast blind scan. lol

Probably No Blindscan, knowing these guys.
Their next flagship receiver should be released after this one. The new flagship is the one I will probably wait on.
It is a lot of fun to get new receivers right when they are first released, but lots of times, you get problems and issues which are fixed in a few months. So I will usually wait just a bit until after the new receiver is released to buy it..

Seems like a bargain to me. But then, we paid around that much for some of the first Pansat DVB receivers that were nowhere near as powerful a couple of years after I got into the hobby...

It is not really that bad if you think about it. The receiver should be supported for at least 5 years, and will still function even after the support is gone. If you pay $600 and get 4 years of service, that is only 150 per year.
These new tuners are supposed to be very impressive, but I want to wait a bit and see how they actually work before i buy one of these new receivers. Vu+ will not answer the individual customer as far as receiver support goes, but I think they have the best fta products on the market right now.

I totally agree with EB as my vu+ receiver is the best I have ever had. I too will wait a bit for the flagship receiver to be released.
