You probably have an ip conflict somewhere. How is the network connected to the receiver? Are you using a static ip for the receiver or DHCP?

Have you performed a network test using the receiver Have you selected one connection, either WLAN or LAN and Not both?? Is the link light Green? Have you verified that the ip assigned to the box is a valid ip for the network? I have seen many devices have an invalid ip assigned using DHCP by the network. For example, 192.168.1.1 when it should actually be 192.168.0.1

Since you're using DHCP, for the heck of it, try assigning the box a static ip address, then reboot your modem and router and then your receiver and see if that cures the problem.

You had 5 green lights for the internet/network test, and still got the plugin download error message???

    Erase everything and start over.
Backup the image, then download a new image that has never been installed. Set up the internet connection first.

That will be OK. Backup what you have first, then you can easily restore it.

Try a different image. Download and install "OpenPLi-4.0-beta-vusolo2-20150412_usb.zip"
