I like being able to watch an internet channel on the TV while checking out satellite channels streamed to the computer Also, VLC is able to do closed captions.

So how does this work? Are you sending to a phone or something?

I use a smart phone and an Android tablet as signal meter for enigma2 receivers. There are apps that allow streaming to these devices too.

My radio station is replacing my flip phone (that I have dearly hung on to). It will be a iPhone 4 hand me down from someone in sales. So as of today I'll have to learn yet even more new stuff. If the E2 didn't kill me, the iPhone will.

Oh I did stream 4:2:2 to my lap top on the sofa and watch it in real time. Works good.

    Hello Pixl
Did you fix the problem you were having with the HDMI switch and your receiver?
    Regards.

Yes, a fairly low tech solution. I ran the HDMI cable from the troublesome Nemesis directly to the only open HDMI port on my tv. That works fine direct.
I then pulled out the HDMI cables from all my other devices and ran AV cables instead to a manual AV switcher. That in turn was run to the only open AV port on the tv. The HDMI switch is now in the closet waiting to get more valuable with time.
