I am a new owner of the Premium lll and I have loaded the latest software.
I havlso found that it is impossible to do a blind scan when you specify the start and end frequency range. When you press OK the scan screen appears but nothing happens.

    Has anyone else experienced this?

Hello AndyX and Welcome to legitfta!!

There are a few things you need to take under consideration when doing this:

-Make sure you only have selected (blue heart) the sat you wish to blindscan. If you leave more than one sat (c and ku combination) checked it will create confusion.
-Make sure you stop the cursor in top of the sat you wish to blindscan.
-Make sure you give the sat TP range within the limits (system will tell you if you're out of)
-Do not use the fast key single search (yellow bottom), use the Press OK in the range section

Again, welcome to legitfta , pls let us know your total feedback for the PIII, Good Luck

It takes a bit of time getting used to the blind scan function on this receiver but once you do it works well. If you follow Carlos info in the previous post you shouldn't have any issues. When I blind scan I make sure that the satellite to be scanned is in my list then I check the setup to make sure it's either c or ku band. I go into the blind scan menu and cursor down to the sat I want to scan and cursor right to setup my scan limits and cursor left back to the sat and press the yellow button so that only that sat is scanned. It does function a bit differently from other receivers but works excellent once you get used to it.

Thanks for the welcome and for both your replies. I tried both methods ... making sure All settings for the dish were correct. Unfortunately I am still unable to do a scan unless I leave the range alone. Are you both using version 3 of the receiver?

I am using the Nov 3 fw. I had the same issue when I received my receiver:

go to and select sat to be scanned

    cursor right

setup scan range and what to scan

cursor right on sat to be scanned

yellow button to scan only that sat

Thanks for your input. I have narrowed down the problem. If I scan as if I am using a C band lnb using defining frequencies then your scanning methods do work. This is not working for a universal lnb. I wonder if this is because auto is not being shown in the blind scan screen for band selection. Auto is the default given when choosing the Lnb type as universal in the dish menu screen. This is not being acknowledged in the blind scan screen.

Universal settings are broken in this area. Using 10600 and 22KHz ON seems to work OK.
