I've tried everything but can't get the info bar any brighter, it's almost not visible at all. Any help would be appreciated.

When I press the sat button, I have to squint just to try and make out the names.

How my pics looks in comparison with yours?? Have you tried all the usual bugs corrections process (factory, firmware re-load etc) to see if you see any improvements??
Everything in the picture is OK but the info/ OK screens is not?? Is aspect mode on Auto and Video on 1080i_50?? Just double checking as to why

Aspect mode is on auto and I think you mean 1080i_60.

I changed the box to another TV using a different resolution and right there I noticed the fading. Will send inputs to X2.
