Yes EB, they are aware and told me it is indeed a firmware problem and that they are working to fix the motor and signal loss issue in the next 3-4 day's.
For Marv, if you are still unhappy with the box a full refund will be issued if you wish, just send me a PM and I will send you a RMA.

Indeed , we're working hard to solve this issue and others in the old X2 II, you can expect a new firmware in a couple of days!!

Thought I posted earlier, But must have screwed it up and didn't post. I didn't have any luck with the Oct. firmware. There was no text file with it as to what the fixes might be. Going to set it on the shelf and wait for the next update.
