    Hello Guys
I have this little problem with my VU+, is been there since I got the box or maybe is my set up. I have orthomode feeds on my dish and the problem is that sometimes when I blind scan it does not pick any transponders or just a few, I have to switch the unit off using the off/on switch on back of the box, power it back up than it works fine I can scan a few Sats and than it craps out, here is a picture of my tuner A settings.
    Open for suggestions.
    Thanks in advance.
    Chewie.

Chewie, what kind of multiswitch are you using with the feeds? I've never tried orthos with the vu+ but I would experiment first with the Voltage mode and change it to 13v for your v then assign another lnb say number 2 with the same settings for the c sat except 18v for H.
    Tone mode OFF.

Do the same for your ku band with lnbs 3 and 4. With your ku settings in advanced mode, user defined should all be 10750, that is LOF/L. LOF/H and threshold. Repeat again for the voltages. Tone mode ON.

Sequence repeat should be set to YES on all lnb settings.

    Good luck!

Forgot, don't forget to backup first in order to restore your old tuner settings.

    Hello East
Thanks for your input, I have a 4X8 WNC multi-switch , I did a modification to the switch where the Vertical and the horizontal get 18 volts, I have a spare switch I will modify this one and see if it corrects the issue.
I have Norsat Lnb's on my feed, I will like to try something else even if is not orthos, but I don't what is good out there, this dish is only for C band .
I will play with it and fix the issue and post it.
    Regards.
    Chewie.

Then for the heck of it try voltage mode as polarization and change the tone mode to OFF or ON depending on which side you have the c and ku hooked up.

I have seen other people have similar problems with this kind of lnb setup. You may want to try one or two cheap, c band lnbs to replace the Norsat(s). You can change one lnb and have a conventional 13v/18v V/H setup.
