i am presently useing; hs v2.11.77 software and trying to up date to;v2.11.83 with usb stick,software say its updateing but it does not update.its stays on v2.11.77,so i try v2.11.87,but ird just say usb install but do not give me the opition to update.

Does the gekko not have the option of updating with your receiver on line like the anaconda and raptor?

The Gekko is Optibox and the firmware in question is from Octagon. Either the reseller id in the Gekko has been changed or the reseller id in the firmware has not been changed from Octagon to Optibox.

There never was an online updating option for Optibox. That feature was available in other brands such as Openbox.
