I always thought that products went down after they had been on the market for a while. I am confused. Anyone know why the huge increases?

The banks in China are creating a credit crunch due to a possible expansion bubble. Only AAA customers are being financed for approval... all others have to sell properties, holdings, or any other creative approach to secure cash in order to continue to finance their operations.

    a catch22
people won't buy if they are too $$$
I would never spend more than $100 on a fta receiver in this day and age.
    or am I being obtuse?

True.. but when credit is literally cutoff or very difficult to obtain and you weren't capitalized properly, you really don't have many options when your pockets are all ready stretched to the limit trying to maintain low prices.

Guess that means the new X2, is going to be considerably more expensive than the last! (when it comes out?)
I'm still interested in the new model though...

I am looking to buy an Invacom lnb which are made in China. The cost has risen on the model I want by about 20 British Pounds as compared to the 4th quarter of 2013. That is a price increase of about 40 U.S. dollars.
Not trying to hijack, but only wanting to point out that other things besides the X2 have also increased in price.

    That's a hefty increase for a lnb.
