I've been using my 8' solid for c band circular sats on the Atlantic side and have thought of installing a Chaparral wideband corotor to pick up ku as well. I have one issue that I'm not quite sure how to remedy with todays receivers. The corotor is equipped with a servo motor to switch polarity between horizontal and vertical. I have receivers that can handle that but they are sd relics. I was wondering if anybody knew of some other way to hook it up? I thought of hooking it up to my old Pansat 3500 and looping it out to one of my newer receivers, only problem is that I would have to go back to the Pansat and change polarity. A bit of a pain in the butt but doable. I'm open to other ideas, here's a pic:

Maybe just save me the hassle and get a c/ku band lnbf with ku being universal:

Thanks East, I've never seen one of those before. Think I'll debate it as to spending in excess of $300 for the corotor with lnbs or $30 on the lnbf. I've had the wideband corotor on 2 occasions but I was unimpressed with its performance on linear c band sats-ku worked well.

I haven't decided yet East but I just might go that way as I know that ku band usually suffers a bit on a c/ku band lnbf. I'm just waiting on a return e-mail from a sat distributor in Winnipeg, save on shipping.

Just wondering if I opt for the lnbf if ku side will suffer if I insert the dilectric plate for c band circular?

Probably will... just taking off the usually white colored plastic cover from an lnbf and leaving it "wasp friendly", will give you a point or two increase in signal varying by brand and quality.

WWS is sold out so I'll still be looking around.
