I saw that editor up on a couple hacker boards, and also saw the warnings about bricking the Jynxbox, so I never DL it. But.. I was working with Wolfgang Litzinger at [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] in Germany. I had previously bought his editor SetEditHD100 to use on Manhattan (ALI chipset). He sent me a special build of that editor to try on the Jynxbox. When I loaded the edited file back to the Jynx I lost some of the fields and the channel names all turned into 4 digit numbers. At least it did not lock up the box. I think you can DL a trial version of SetEditHD100 but you will have to contact him for the Jynxbox build. [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

Maybe try saving a channel list with the usual alieditor via rs232 and see what the size of that is.Then try to match a script.ini.The actual list seems to be just a fraction of the full file that was posted.
The rs232 loader also lets you save chunks of firmware, maybe that user database would be smaller.
Yes, that .udf was so large (1.5mb) that I had to zip it up to post on this board. Since the box was originally designed for key sharing, that might account for the extra real estate in the file.
I'll try exporting it with the RS232 and post it here.

I wonder why there isn't just an .dbs file like other ali chips?

.dbs is actually the default data plus the .udf, which would make the file even bigger.
The original stbeditor program for openbox s10 came with another program to strip off the .udf for editing, and after editing a merge program to make it a .dbs again.
Alieditor will also open a full .abs assuming it isn't 8meg size.
    or am I being obtuse?
