I have a line on what appears to be a 12' Paraclipse. Its 65$. Does anyone have any experience with these dishes? They don't seem easy to takedown.

Ah, a 12' Paraclipse, it would be difficult to do much better.

If it's in good condition, snatch it for $65.

Yes, they are very easy to take down/apart. They are also built like a tank and easy to remesh if you need to.

The buttonhook feed is great too as long as it's in good shape.

I had one many years ago and was sorry to lose it. It was very well engineered and built for it's time. It out performed many twelve footers or even bigger mesh dishes advertised back then. Go for it...

Its probably a 2 hour drive so it would need to be relatively easy to takedown. I need to be prepared with tools. I have a pic here. I don't think its a 12 foot dish. Looks more like 7-8.

I just picked one of those up last month. I took it off the polar mount and brought it home in one piece. If you choose to take it apart you will spend quite while doing so. There are many parts to this dish along with about half a million stainless steel clips to hold the mesh that arent available any more (use safety wire). You have to remove the mesh to disassemble the frame. I have an assembly manual for it that I can send, Pm me if you need it.
