Thanks for the offer EB but I think I'll pass, I'll just wait until it warms up a bit.

I just ordered almost the same parts for my 1.8 meter dish. I decided to get the quad QDF-031 lnb. Mine should be installed and running in a couple of weeks.

Damn EB, I have a qdf-031 collecting dust in my garage. If there is any way you can cancel, I'll ship you mine.

Here's a picture of my QPF-021 with the c120 feedhorn and the scalar inverted:

    Ok.
I think that is the standard linear/ circular lnb. The quad that I ordered is universal and only linear.

Well mother nature is finally starting to cooperate so it looks as though tomorrow will be install day for my invacom twf-031 prime focus lnbf, supposed to be a bit cooler and possible rain- hopefully I'll be able to get it done with the help of my good neighbour Lexmark. I will be concentrating on 3 satellites- Telstar 12, Amc 6 and Galaxy 23/Echostar 9. I'm going to see what signal quality I'm getting at the moment and do a comparison with the new feed. I'll be using the same positioner outdoors that is already hooked up to this dish so I won't have to rescan and save my satellites after. Some pics outside today:

Not much room for improvement, I broke out my old Pansat 2500 and 3500 but decided on the Linkbox 8000 as I really like its quality meter. Here is what I am attempting to improve on:

    Telstar 12-15w

    11964 H 14714 85%
    11708 V 3197 86%

    Hispasat 1c/d/e-30w

    11884 V 27500 90%

    Amc 6-72w

    12055 V 6890 90%

    Galaxy 17-91w

    12012 V 11574 90%

    Echostar 9-121w

    12016 V 20000 91%

The Quality Signal reading does not tell us a whole lot because it is a measure of the satellite signal and the noise. Have you got a receiver that runs Enigma 2 firmware? Most Enigma 2 firmwares will show you the signal to noise ration in db?
