    HDMU E2 image.When i downloaded it was zipped and was bunch of folders and files. the other E2 image that i am using now was an image file in itself with one other image file. Those two image files are on a usb stick that I boot from. The file you mention above is not an image file..I was just asking how do I use it. Thanks!

    How many times did you extract it? I only see one file in the HDMU download. I extracted one time and got a hdmu folder with one file in it. If you extract that one file, you will have two files. You can continue extracting the image file and break it up into smaller pieces but you do not need to do this.

    I'm sorry but I'm new to this receiver. Again I really do appreciate your help. The E2 image I had on a USB stick had 2 files labeled: uImage(a file) and root.img. When I unzipped the file mentioned above i got this : E2_OCTAGON_SF1008_1201-209_GIT4733_USB . I put it on the stick bu itself and it did not boot. If I unzipped that file again I got a whole bunch of folders and files. Do I need to keep one of the 2 files uImage or root.img on the stick or none or ? Once you help me with this process once i'll be fine. Thanks.

    I will have to look and see. I do not have an Anaconda so I do not know what works and what does not.

    What I have given you is supposed to be for usb and not flash. I would expect it to work on an usb stick.

    Are these the instructions that you are using for E2?
    [Preperation before install E2]

    1. Update your boot loader --- 'UpdateLoaderLx.x6' version(Latest version) by Booting upgrade mode.
    (Turn on your receiver while pressing CHANNEL UP button on the front panel, until SCAN message shows up
    => 'COMPLETE' message shows up, then Turn off and on)
    2.USB Memory
    * Bootable USB memory required.
    * File system must be FAT32. (Recommend FAT32 format in advance)
    * High performacne USB memory recommended.
    (If USB memory stick is old or performace is low, USB booting can be failed.)

    [E2 Installation]

    1. Save uImage (common to all models) and root.img (specific to each model) to your USB memory.
    2. Connect the USB memory stick to receiver. (Rear or Front side)
    3. Turn on the receiver with pressing CHANNEL DOWN button on the front panel, until SCAN message shows up.
    4. The front display will show 'ON' first, then keep showing some messages more.
    * 'ON' means that reading E2 image from the USB memory is started.
    5. 'ENIGMA2' logo displays for a while.
    6. After displaying E2 logo, if your screen is black, select output mode by pressing channel Up & Down botton on your RCU.
    Once select your output mode, press OK button to adapt it.
    (Currnet output mode will display on your front LCD or VFD)
    C = Component
    H = HDMI
    HC = HDMI-PC
    S = Scart

    6. Now Enjoy E2 !
    ** After installation is finished well, E2 is available whenever your USB memory is connected to receiver before turn-on.

    !!!!! [Important Notice] !!!!!

    * Do not dis-connect USB memory from the receiver while E2 is working.

    <Roll back to original S/W>
    1. Turn-off receiver
    2. Dis-connect USB memmory from the receiver, then turn-on the receiver.

    yes. You see the reference to root image and boot image, those are the two I'm talking about...that aren't in the file you posted...or I could not find them. the instruction above worked perfectly with the earlier image posted on this site. I just don't know if the UI image or the root image need to be on there with the one you uploaded.
    Thanks!!!
