    there are 2 settings for recorder timer,channel and record.The default is channel,which will just tune the receiver to that channel and do nothing.Daily record doesn't work.
    Some firmwares will turn the receiver off after recording,which is a pain.For a motorized setup,leave the motor on the sat you want to record.
