My S10 will reboot every time you try to drive a motor with it or when viewing HD channels with lots of movement DVB-S2 especially. Some folks have discussed in the past that this is due to a poorly built power supply. I was not able to find the parts to fix this so I am taking Pixl's advise and I ordered a complete power supply from China for about 11 dollars. Hopefully it shows up soon so I can install it and then finally try to use this receiver. Luckily I am into this receiver for about 50 or 50 bux after the power supply so hopefully it works out so I have a decent backup receiver for feed hunting.

Once you replace the power supply add a $7 plastic noise free small fan on top 24/7, beleive me that make a lot of improvements on mines.

    p.d.
have you replace the resetable fuse from the main board as per pixl instructions??? They're cheap and make a lot of improvement $3.99 w/free shipping for 10 pieces

    Carlos,

I have reservations about those polyfuses from China. That is where the crappy ones came from in the first place. The replacements from Digi Key are made by well known brand Little fuse made in Korea. They cost $0.58 + $2-3 shipping. Do you really need 10?

on a side note with the s10,I was trying to fix my tuner and noticed the xtal leads on the tuner were dangerously close to shorting out against the metal on the cam socket.I took a pair of cutters and trimmed those leads and other cap leads that were way too long.In one instance before I cut them, the leads did short out.If you pop the tuner out to put in a varistor, check the lead lengths on the bottom of the module.

Agree with you, I got mines from Digi Key, I think they also has a minimum quantity but cant recall the quantity. So here theyre 2 choices to get the parts from. As you mentioned Digi Key will be the best choice

Here is the link to the Digi Key part as reccomend from you

Well I got the power supply for the S10 today from Yojia and I installed it. The chips on the new supply looked the same as the old one. I am still unable to drive the sg2100 motor with this but I have been watching a few channels with the box not using the motor function and it hasn't rebooted otherwise. I would like to make it so this box will be able to move the motor but I have 4 dishes setup right now without motors so its not a total necessity. Maybe there is another firmware I should try. I haven't done anything else with the box other than switching out the power supply.
