I picked up a used 1st gen dvbs2 module for my pansat and I hooked it up and can't seem to get a signal at all. Nothing on the meter. I am not sure if there is a step I am missing or if there is a problem with the module. Any Ideas?

I had a problem also when I installed the module. Are you sure you have it in for the 9200 and not the other area for the 1000tc receiver?

Ya I have the older model I think and there is only one way to hook it up. Wasn't sure if there was a special firmware or some setting.

I emailed pansat and they said they would send me the new kit for 80 if I trade in my old one. I may do that if I can't get it to work. Still expensive though.

I got this card working just now. Doesn't blind scan but it works. I am getting a lot of stuttering with video and I am running 1229 firmware.

I think costa has one of this, you can get inputs from him. I remembered reading about the blindscanning issue and a workaround somewhere. Remember, there used to be a Illuminati S2 Turbo board which doesnt work for real S2, just for.......you know

I have a feeling you have the turbo board which was used for hack back in the day, please ensure that you have not installed it in the 1000tc slot.

I used to have a 9200 that I got for a cheap price on fleabay. It came with the illuminati s2 board. The unit used to get real hot with this board. After I read that it was used for hack I removed it. When I turn on back the unit it work much cooler. Never order the real S2 board because this unit used to scan a lot of transponders with low quality (40% or less) but they wont open or cant see. I think blindscanning is Smart Scanning. I sold it back to fleabay

No I got the S2 LG tuner working. It just stutters a lot. Probably from heat. I am able to watch Escapes TV, etc with it. I guess I will try using a fan and see if it improves.

This unit really heats up, I use a laptop cooling fan when I use the unit. I like it's signal quality meter and it will scan in all tp that are there but upwards of 1/2 when scanning for s2 channels.
