    why anybody would need a sim card slot- I don't know.

    no ethernet connector,so the sim slot is for a GPRS 3G modem connection instead.

    Now that's more Greek, to me. Am I to understand that I could connect to the internet with this? My internet is 3G DSL, or am I way off base?

    F3 has an ethernet slot but I haven't tested it yet.

    They claim that was just a demo and the production run is going to have an ethernet board and wifi support.
