    Thanks Costa,

    Funny how they mention 1080P, but the specs just say ----Multiple display mode: 1080i/720p/570p/576i/480p;

    Typo maybe..

    the firmware is just compressed,not encrypted.Unusual for openbox.
    it has 2 usb ports instead of just 1

    A guy with a dead s16 said the rs232 s16 loader didn't work.
    I gave him the s10 v2.0.0f loader and that did work for him.
    I don't have an s16 to verify that but he was happy.

    Finally received my S16 almost 5 weeks in. The s16 comes with no instruction guide, no adapter and no hdmi cable. The remote is similar in shape to the Optibox Anaconda remote but much less functional then even the Skybox F3 remote. Also batteries for the remote are not included. The s16 boots in pal and is equipped with a European/Asian sat list. It's identical in size to the F3 but many features are lacking. One thing I did notice when setting it up to ntsc was the wide choice of video resolutions. I've only scanned several Atlantic sats but there will be many more posts as to its attributes or more of its downfalls.
