This one of the most complete lists I have used, thanks to both EB and Costa for taking the time to put this together!! :shake_hands:
How tough would it be to add a few birds to this list in order? Say 15W, 22w, etc? Is there a type of editor to use with a computer or would everything be done with the box itself?
There is a 64 satellite limit. I have left a couple of slots open that can be changed to anything you want using the receiver. SetEdit can be purchased if you want a decent channel editor, or there is a basic channel editor that is free. EB
Does Setedit work for other receivers?
Yes.
Please go to setedit.de and look around a bit. Pretty decent editors that he has.
This link seems to not work.
Then we will fix it..
Consider it fixed!
I got the file on my usb drive but noticed there is a list of files in the directory. I went to the upgrade via usb screen and it says App, App+plugin, App+database+plugin, where do I go to load the satfile?
Unzip the attached file then copy the six files to a clean usb drive. You should not have to worry about telling the receiver where it is in the DB Transformer. EB
Data transformer is where you go but I haven't been able to get it to take- still left with a European list which I will manually alter.
Unzip the files and load them on a blank USB stick. insert the stick in to the receiver. Go to Database Transformer, then press the correct key (Green or Red) on the remote. The files should load.
Sorry for such poor instructions but I am not in front of the receiver.
Thanks for your help EB. I'll give it another shot.
Worked like a charm.
EB, I hooked up my Golden Media Spark receiver today, I set my receiver back to factory default, then I loaded your above file on a stick for North American Satellites, I followed your instructions on post 13, and still just get the Eastern Satellites, could you please help my on this. Thanks in advance.
This satellite file is two years old and needs updating. Why are you wanting to load it?
Thanks EB, I need the file because I set my receiver back to factory default, now I have all the Eastern Satellites on, and I need the Western Satellites to put in my Golden Media Triplex.
OK.
I will try and connect my TripleX to the tv and see if it loads for me. Will probably be later this evening....
What does the receiver do when you try to load this file????
Thanks EB,
I download the file (North American Sat file by EB) put on stick after Extracting Zip. Then put stick in Receiver, then I go to System Upgrade, Database Transformer, then next Path /storage/c/North American Sat File by EB, then I hit green button to Load, get message successful. I check on Satellite list, still lists Eastern Satellites. I tried also to hit the red and green button and it says Successful, and return to Satellites and they are still Eastern Sats.
Do you know how to use FileZilla?
No EB I do not know how to use FileZilla.
EB, I downloaded the new FileZilla 3.14.1 and put it on my desktop. So now what do I do next?
..Dush .I thought that's about dirty movies..
Connect to the box using FileZilla d transfer the XML file to the receiver.Quote:

There are tutorials on the internet about using FileZilla, and we have some information on that here in the Vu+ section.
Is the host Golden Media XXX on FileZilla. Is the Username root and password root?
Username and password is root. Type in the ip addy of your receiver and you should be able to connect.
I cannot get Server to connect to Filezilla, thought it might be my WiFi, then I put in Ethernet cable on the back of my modem to the receiver, still no connection to server. I've been trying to connect yesterday and today, with no luck. Here's a photo of Filezilla -- what I've been getting. I used FileZilla 3.14.1 and FileZilla 3.14.0, still no luck on getting connection. Any help would surely be appreciated.[Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]
I have the same issue with my newest internet provider. When I go back to my old provider, which I can do as their modem is still here connected to my phone service, I connect immediately.Quote:

You have the right idea.
The ip address you are entering appears to not be correct for the box.
Is the box connected to a router, and the router connected to the computer?
Has the ip of the box been verified by checking the ip in the receiver menu?
I finally gave up on FileZilla, since it wouldn't work, kept getting Server Error. I tried using a USB stick again in the receiver, with the North American Satellite list from EB, and that worked!! Go figure! Again Thanks EB and hope you had a nice Thanksgiving.
nice post nice info
