We normally don't like posting files in any discussion threads..Links to the files would be better in most cases...this Is a unique thread and they fit in well with the discussion..The files are also posted in the file section with a notice for the use of Advanced testers..
On the s10 kludge I just get the warning and no factory menu.
11111 is for the legit s10 factory menu also.
rs232 test requires a loopback connector plugged into the rs232 receiver port,
judging from ascii I saw in the maincode.Don't know about it's wiring.
pansat file size is 3.6meg,which I load via rs232 port.
If I backup firmware to usb once loaded it saves a 4meg backup.
I put the original 3.6meg firmware on usb and it doesn't show up
in the usb upload menu, only 4meg .abs files.
It that normal or is it because it's a bastard setup?
did we ever determine what tuner the 9500 uses?
The tuner has ERIT written on it.
serit or sharp, according to a chunk of maincode.

Mine has ERIT written on it so it is probably a Serit tuner. I appreciate you clearing this up! EB
that is the only maincode I have seen so far that actually mentions tuner types.
