Edit the start screen logo screen? Are you talking about the boot logo, manufacturer's logo or something else? There is not a logo .bmp or any other .bmp file that automatically displays that I know about. An example would help.
I think he's talking about "bootlogo.mvi" file.
Ok that could be it, on some versions on E2 Linux they use .bmp so which directory is bootlogo.mvi located at?
bootlogo.mvi is located in /usr/share
Enigma2 receivers are limited in what they can do while booting. Usually a bootlogo is made form a .jpg file that is converted to a .mvi format. There are bootlogo tools for this. I cannot find ANY enigma2 image that uses a .bmp format instead of a .mvi format. So to make the .bmp file usable, it will probably need a conversion to .jpg, then another conversion to .mvi. The picture also has to be properly sized.

I have a program that works beautiful I am not sure if I am allowed to post this program on here, but it will convert and upload your boot logo and it works well.
You are welcome to post anything that is useful. :tiphat2:
I posted the program to make it easy to create a new boot logo
