Free speech matters....
Looks Like the reviewer was a zgemma user first so I think he bought the Octagon sf8008 for the blind scan.
He's still not quite happy with Octagon for other cons.
Free Speech matters a lot!
Rick has been selling enigma2 fta receivers for years, but no one at his website seems to understand the use of the enigma2 operating system. Even simple questions cannot be answered. Easy to see Rick is only interested in the profit margin and not the receiver support.

Either the SF8008 is a poor scanner or those guys have poor antenna systems.

As for the 0 to 60,000 synbol rate, Someone probably used dvbsnoop to check the tuner. Just because dvbsnoop lists something does not mean that it is active in the blindscan bin file.

Rick needs to quit playing footsies with Octagon else someone named Titanium might take his customers away.
Octagon is a great company to deal with, especially when it comes to filling out the proper paperwork.Quote:
Update on our order for the SF8008's. Shipment got returned to Octagon in Germany, as the export documents were not correct.
They re-shipped our order on 11/08, so we are still a week or so away from getting them. Again, depending on customs.
It is frustrating, but just have to deal with it. Sorry for the delay folks.
Thanks,
Rick

That site does not ship to North America. Wait a bit and that box will be listed somewhere else.
